T20 World Cup: Pakistan finally get their first victory


Perth: Pakistan defeated Netherlands by 6 wickets in the 17th match of Super 12 stage of T20 World Cup.


In the match played at the Perth Cricket Ground, the captain of the Netherlands won the toss and decided to bat first. Could score runs, Colin Ackerman played the highest innings of 27 runs while Scott Edwards scored 15 runs.


Among the other players, Stephen Myburgh 6, Max O'Dowd 8, Tom Cooper 1, Tim Pringle 5, Fred Klassen zero while Logan Van Beek scored 7 runs. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, Mohammad Wasim Jr. 2 wickets while Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi took one wicket each.


 The national team got off to a disappointing start in pursuit of the target, with the national team achieving the target by losing 4 wickets in the 14th over. Captain Babar Azam once again scored 4 runs and returned to the pavilion. Opener Mohammad Rizwan made 49 and lost his wicket. In the closing moments of the match, the national cricketers focused on single double instead of improving the run rate, Shan Masood scored 12 runs off 16 balls while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 5 runs.


For the Netherlands, Brandon Glover took two wickets while Paul van Meekren took one wicket.
